Thank you for taking time to look at my website. I am confident that after you view my qualifications, experience, and testimonials you will see how The Swanson Way is superior to other fitness programs. Take a look around and make the decision that can change your life. Let me introduce myself. My name is Matt Swanson and I have always enjoyed maintaining an active lifestyle. I was a four sport athlete in high school and was recruited to play football at several division I universities. I signed with the University of Northern Iowa in 1996 and played there until 1999. I finished my college football career with the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I received my degree in Health Promotion from UNI in August of 2001. The biggest influence on my exercise physiology education was when I was selected for an internship on Tony Dungy's strength and conditioning staff with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2001. I interned under Mark Asanovich who was the head strength and conditioning coach for the Buccaneers. In my time in Tampa I was educated by some of the most successful people in the fitness industry. Mark Asanovich has an annual strength and fitness seminar with the Buccaneers. In 2001 that included Penn State strength coach John Thomas, Matthew Vukovich with the Applied Physiology Laboratory at South Dakota State University, and Ted Lambrinides from the Cincinnati Bengals. The other interns and I were also invited to attend a certification class that was taught by Wayne Westcott. Wayne is the Fitness Research Director at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy, MA. He has written 20 fitness books and is an editorial advisor for many publications. The education I received from Mark Asanovich in Tampa is the cornerstone for the fitness program I have brought to Omaha. While I was in Tampa I also had my first job as a personal trainer with Bally Total Fitness. I moved back to Omaha and was a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness for two years. I also continued my football career in 2004 when I signed a one-year contract with the Omaha Beef. In August of 2004 I became a real estate appraiser and started Swanson Appraisals, LLC. In September 2007 I obtained my realtors license. I have continued with my personal training business at The Westroads Club, in private clubhouses and in my client's own homes. I hope you enjoy the information I have provided on my site. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. All the best, Matt Swanson "I have been training with Matt since October 06. My co-workers have noticed a difference in my physical appearance and I can feel a huge difference in my daily energy level. Daily activities are much easier now that I am on a proper fitness program. I have gained lean mass and dropped my body fat percentage. Matt is great motivator and I always look forward to my workouts. The workouts are always challenging and a great experience." - Marla Brown member of The Westroads Club | "I started training with Matt to increase my strength and improve my level of fitness. I had noticed that my muscle strength was deteriorating as a result of aging. I am thrilled with the results of this program and could feel the positive changes right away. Matt is a great teacher - very patient and knowledgeable. He is laying the fitness foundation for me for the rest of my life - I highly recommend him to anyone." Lori Jones member of The Westroads Club "I have known Matt since 2002 and started training with him in June 06. The results have been amazing. I can't believe how much better I feel training on The Swanson Way. I have trained with other trainers in the past with no success. I have no doubt that Matt Swanson is the most educated and experienced trainer in Omaha" - Matt Farrell Make sure you check out Matt's before and after photos in the success stories section of my website. |
